Norman Morris Gray was born and raised in Lucknow, India. His journey of faith began at an early age, and at 15 he made a personal commitment to follow Jesus Christ—a decision that awakened in him a lifelong desire to serve people and make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Norman holds a degree in Commerce from Lucknow Christian College and received his theological education from Lucknow Bible College. He began his leadership journey working with young people in India and later served as a Youth Pastor in Arizona, USA.

In 2006, Norman began his work in Chandigarh and has since been involved in numerous community and ministry initiatives across Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and other parts of India. Over the years, his work has expanded to include leadership development, education, child sponsorship, humanitarian assistance, community outreach, and the development of local leaders and organizations.

Norman has traveled extensively, speaking and serving communities across India and internationally. His passion is to develop leaders, create opportunities for underserved communities, support children and families, and mobilize people and resources toward sustainable and meaningful change.

Today, Norman lives in Texas with his wife, Supriya, and their sons, Adriel and Andrew. Together, they continue to advance the mission of Sonrise India—building partnerships, developing leaders, supporting humanitarian and educational initiatives, and bringing hope and opportunity to communities in India and beyond.
